About Anarashii

Anarashii is a word I have coined myself - incorporating two different languages even! By combining Ana (being me!) and -rashii (a Japanese suffix meaning "-ish" or "-like") you get something "Ana-ish" or "a piece of me" ; )

....exactly how I like to think of my unique Asia-Pasifika infused Crochet and Knit Fashions!

  1. Hello! I have just come across your lovely blog. I'm really keen to learn crochet - where is the best place to start? Books, online tutorials? x

  2. Hi!
In my opinion the best place to start when learning to Crochet or the best way to start is to have someone start you off with the basics - once you have the basics sussed, you can just venture off on your own trying out different patterns and practising, practising, practising!
Also the plan with Anarashii is to have Crochet video tuts on here but it's hard to film yourself and crochet/knit so inevitably it gets put off..... :)

  4. Hi Ana, the text is a bit hard to read on the background. The colours are too similar. (I am not 90 just focally challenged lol)

    1. Hi Vicki, the problem is balance as the background when I'm typing up posts is white so I need something dark enough to be seen on the white background, but light enough to show up against the dark background of the Blog. It used to be that I would type up the posts and the text colour was black typing it up, but would show up white on the blog - something changed or I unwittingly messed something up no doubt. Changed the text colour today - hopefully that's better :)
